South Africa
. However, Ranbir’s mother,
Neetu Kapoor
recently revealed that the couple ultimately chose an intimate ceremony at their home in Mumbai.
Revealing that Ranbir and Alia had spent two years meticulously planning their dream wedding Neetu Kapoor told Film Companion, “They were going absolutely nuts.
They were planning to go to South Africa, do a recce, and see pictures.”. Despite all their elaborate plans, the couple decided to exchange vows on their own terrace. Reflecting on the ceremony, Neetu added, “This was the best, and she looked so beautiful.”
Previously, Alia had shared that they cancelled a destination wedding to avoid the stress of a large event. The actress had also stated that she wanted to get out of her room and directly go to the makeup room she gets ready in every day, and then go get married. The intimate ceremony allowed the couple to interact closely with their 40 guests, aligning with their preference for a low-key celebration.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the knot in April 2022 at their Mumbai residence. Their private wedding stood in contrast to many celebrity weddings, highlighting the couple’s desire for simplicity and intimacy over extravagance. Just a few months later, in November 2022, they welcomed their baby girl, adding to their joy.
