. Her performance in both the projects was highly appreciated. In a recent chat, she talked about attending her
audition
in front of
Aamir Khan
for ‘Laapataa Ladies’ and how she juggled between these two projects.
While talking to the Indian Express, Pratibha said that within a month after her audition with Aamir Khan, everything was locked for Kiran Rao’s project. She felt like it was a very quick process. A dialogue training workshop for the same took a month to finish, and after that, it went on floors. She also shared about the 45 to 50 days shoot they had.

Adding to this, she talked about Khan’s involvement during the filming. The atmosphere was ‘magical’, and she made friends from the shoot. Pratibha talked about how Kiran Rao had controlled the set well and managed to meet Aamir Khan off-set more.
She called the set of SLB’s ‘Heeramandi’ magical, and the approach towards both the roles was different. She called her character Jaya from ‘Laapataa Ladies’ a little reserved. But the common bottom line both the characters had in them was the same emotion to get that freedom.
