CSK vs RR Player Ratings: How much did MS Dhoni score?
Rajasthan Royals (RR)
Yashasvi Jaiswal (2/10) – It wasn’t the opener’s day as he could only score 24 from 21 deliveries. On a tough wicket, he couldn’t get going.
Jos Buttler (1/10) – It was an uncharacteristic Buttler innings, where he made 21 from 25. He had a strike-rate of 84.
Sanju Samson (1/10) – Skipper Sanju Samson wasn’t good either, on the day. He had a strike rate of 78 as he made 15 from 19.
Riyan Parag (8/10) – The only Rajasthan who got going vs CSK was Riyan. He scored an excellent 47 from 35 deliveries, hitting three sixes. He went not out.
Dhruv Jurel (5/10) – In his 28 from 18, Jurel showed he could have done well vs dominant CSK bowlers. In a bid to get quick runs, he was dismissed by Tushar Deshpande.
Shubham Dubey (0/10) – What rating do you expect for a player who was dismissed for a golden duck — a 0. He was also ousted by Deshpande.
R Ashwin (7/10) – With the ball, Ashwin did his best to keep Chennai at bay, but that wasn’t enough. He returned with figures of 2/35, and picked up wickets of Rachin and Dube.
Trent Boult (2/10) – The left arm pacer was ineffective on a pitch conducive for bowling. In fact, he was hit for a lot of runs — 24 in 2.2 overs to be precise.
Avesh Khan (6/10) – Avesh continued with his excellent IPL 2024, as he returned with figures of 0/12 in his two overs. Unfortunately, he couldn’t bowl the full quota of overs.
Sandeep Sharma (3/10) – He gave away 30 runs in his 3 overs. It wasn’t an effort to talk about, as Chennai batsmen made hay vs him.
Yuzvendra Chahal (8/10) – Chahal showed he’s a quality leg spinner. Despite defending a small total, he ended with figures of 1/22 in his four overs.
Nandre Burger (7/10) – Burger had similar figures in the match — 1/21 in three overs. Of course, he performed well for his team.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
Rachin Ravindra (6/10) – He slammed 27 from 18 and didn’t have much to do in the match apart from that. But he still gave his team a breezy start.
Ruturaj Gaikwad (7/10) – Skipper scored 42 from 41, but the value of his innings lied in the fact that he stayed unbeaten. He took his side to the win.
Daryl Mitchell (4/10) – 22 off 13, and one wonders, if Mitchell could have stayed on the crease for longer? His wicket opened the gates for more, and gave a chance to RR to make a comeback.
Moeen Ali (3/10) – Why is Moeen even playing in the team, one wonders? He scored 10 from 13 and increased the pressure on the batsmen to follow.
Shivam Dube (4/10) – The all-rounder scored 18 from 11, and just like Mitchell, he should have taken the team over the line. He was dismissed by Ashwin eventually.
Ravindra Jadeja (6/10) – Though he couldn’t score much with the bat, but did play his part with the ball. He returned with figures 0/24 in his four overs.
Sameer Rizvi (3/10) – 15 from eight deliveries, and Rizvi didn’t have much to do. Only if he comes on to bat a little higher in the order, then it would be the right time to judge his performances.
MS Dhoni (100/10) – It was a day where the CSK fans spent the entire day anticipating his retirement. But that fortunately didn’t happen. But he didn’t come out to bat either. Having said that, he is way above the league of other players, and him not announcing retirement, deserves 100 points.
Shardul Thakur (4/10) – He had a decent match where he didn’t pick up a wicket, but still was economical. He gave away only 32 in his spell.
Tushar Deshpande (7/10) – Deshpande continued his good form with the ball for Chennai. He picked up the wickets of Dhruv Jurel and Shubham Dubey.
Simarjeet Singh (9/10) – Undoubtedly, he was the best player in the CSK vs RR match. He bagged 3/26 in his quota of four overs. He removed Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, & Sanju Samson.
