NEW DELHI:
NEET-UG
exam on Sunday witnessed high attendance, with
NTA
officials reporting nearly 23.3 lakh out of 24 lakh registered
candidates
appearing for the test. This year’s NEET-UG saw the highest-ever number of candidates sitting for any competitive
exam
in India.
One incident of distribution of wrong question papers at Girls Senior Secondary Adarsh Vidya Mandir in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, was reported.
All papers of the medical entrance test are bilingual – Indian language and English. However, due to a mistake made by the centre superintendent, some candidates who opted for Hindi got the paper in English.
NTA senior director Sadhana Parashar said, “In order to ensure fairness, an exam for all 120 affected candidates from the centre was conducted on the same day.”
