THANE: The

Thane railway police

have registered a

kidnapping case

against unidentified persons after a woman complained that her

16 year old daughter

went

missing

from

Mumbra station

, officials informed.
The incident was reported Thursday when the woman who works as a labour was on her way to Konkan with her teenaged daughter. The duo was waiting at the ticket booking counter at Mumbra and after the woman who was busy purchasing the ticket turned around, she found her daughter missing from the spot, informed Archana Dusane, senior inspector at the Thane railway police.
The shocked woman later narrated the incident to her relatives who then approached the Thane railway police that registered a kidnapping case under section 363 and have started investigations.
