In the latest episode of Arhaan Khan’s podcast “Dumb Biryani,” two paparazzi guests shared insights into capturing celebrity moments and the paparazzi culture in India, uncovering untold tales about Bollywood celebrities. They discussed their experiences, including waiting for Shah Rukh Khan, accidentally deleting a photo of
Ranveer Singh
, and the viral moment featuring
Ranbir Kapoor
, Alia Bhatt, and Raha Kapoor.
During the podcast, Sneh Zala and Vishal Mohan shared that nowadays, couples of celebrities attract more attention than single actors or actresses. They mentioned, “Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone, Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani, Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma, they are in more demand.” Providing additional insights into their work routine, scouting well-known locations in the city, and discussing event coverage, they also mentioned that waiting for Shah Rukh Khan usually takes the longest. Sneh mentioned, “We have to wait the longest for Shah Rukh Khan. When he goes to dub, he takes a lot of time.” Vishal also added, “He comes only post midnight and by the time he leaves, it is 5-6 am.”
Sneh also talks about respecting celebrities’ privacy and avoiding taking their photos when they seem uncomfortable. He mentions, “Now there is an understanding between the actors and the paps. If they say no and we respect that, next time the artist gives you respect. It has happened to us in the past.” He goes on to say that they waited from 7 am in Juhu and successfully took a photo of Ranveer Singh’s appearance from the movie ’83,’ but they had to delete it afterward.
Vishal also recounted a time when Katrina Kaif declined to take a photo. About a week later, she contacted him outside YRF and provided him with exclusive photos. Even during her early relationship with
Vicky Kaushal
, Katrina requested that Vishal delete a photo of them together and instead take solo pictures of her.
Both Sneh and Vishal discussed the importance of being vigilant in their job and being careful when photographing children. They also agreed with Arhaan and his friends that paparazzi culture received a boost after the NMACC launch event, where photographers were seen enjoying interacting with Tom Holland and Zendaya.
Bringing it to an end, they also revisited the day where they took pictures of Raha Kapoor for the first time with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. “Raha took the internet by storm. It was a big day for us.”
