have been added into the squad,
Riteish
felt that wicket-keeper batter
KL Rahul
, who is the current captain of IPL Team Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), should have been picked for T20 World Cup.
“KL Rahul should have been there in the #T20WorldCup squad,” Riteish wrote. His tweet left the netizens divided. While some chose to disagree with Riteish’s views saying that Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samnon deserve the most, some agreed that KL Rahul should have been a part of India’s T20 squad.
On Tuesday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (
BCCI
) made the announcement for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, which will be hosted in the West Indies and USA, starting on June 1.

Rohit Sharma
will lead India in the showpiece tournament, while Hardik Pandya will be his deputy. Virat Kohli, who has been slamming runs in the ongoing IPL 2024 has also been added into the squad. Four spinners Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have also been added to their squad while Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan have been named as reserved players.
