Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami on Tuesday updated his fans on his injury and uploaded a series of photos of himself using crutches to X (previously Twitter). Since competing against Australia in the ODI World Cup final on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the speedster has not participated in any type of cricket competition.
Mohammed Shami’s long absence
Mohammed Shami was absent from the Test series against South Africa and England, as well as the T20Is against Australia. Additionally, the pacer was not selected to play for Gujarat Titans in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL).
