Rajasthan Royals ace pacer Sandeep Sharma claims he was lucky enough to bag fifer vs Mumbai Indians, credits RR positive team camp
Rajasthan Royals steamrolled their way to beat Mumbai Indians by 9 wickets. While Yashasvi Jaiswal is currently the talk of the town for his brilliant century, credit also goes to Sandeep Sharma. The veteran pacer grabbed a sensational fifer to break the back of Mumbai’s batting order.
Sandeep got wickets in both his opening and closing spells. He began damaging Mumbai Indians by scalping the wickets of Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma. Towards the end of the innings he dispatched Tim David and Gerald Coetzee to register a sensational fifer.
“If you are bowling in death overs, it can go either way. Sometimes you can go for runs and sometimes if you bowl well and lucky enough, you end up getting wickets, that is what happened tonight,” said Sandeep Sharma after the match.
Good Atmosphere in the Team
Rajasthan Royals are the team of the tournament so far. They have etched out 7 wins in 8 games and extends their lead at the top of the points table. There were concerns about Yashasvi Jaiswal‘s form, but the youngster too roared back to form with a brilliant century.
“You need to have a big heart when you are bowling in death overs. One needs to execute good balls and leave it. One needs to focus on what is on their hands. We have a happy and a positive environment. Our management is allowing everyone to express themselves and Sanju is doing a great job,” Sandeep Sharma concluded.
